For many months already, Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 users have waited for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Today, the wait has reached an end after Sony officially launched the highly anticipated update to the aforementioned devices simultaneously.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop was rolled out via OTA earlier today and users of the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 should receive the update prompt by now. If not, they can seek for it manually through the Software Update tab listed on their devices’ Settings page.
The best part is that the Android 5.0 Lollipop is free of issues. We have personally updated our Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and have yet to encounter any problems with it. Heck, even the battery life improved.
This basically makes the wait totally worth it as the Android 5.0 update oozes quality. Then again, this is not surprising as Sony is well-known for high quality products.
