Sony has been getting on the nerves of every Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 user when it behaves secretively towards the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Thankfully though, the silence is finally broken earlier today when Vodafone shared more on when the Lollipop OS will be coming to the Z-devices.
In detail, the Australian carrier shared that they had just received the update ROM and are now doing some tests with it. Vodafone added that the update should be ready in a fortnight from now and it will be launched to the Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 simultaneously.
Vodafone also shared that the updating process by Sony will be in phases which follow the region and time zone. This means that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will be making its entry to the Z-devices starting with Australia before the rest of Oceana. The update will then travel to East Asia, Middle East, Europe and the other parts of the world in that order.
Judging by the sound of it, it seems that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Z3, Z3 Compact and Z2 will be completed by the end of April. Of course, this is pretty late from Sony but the users are relief to hear know that they will be receiving the update shortly.
