Avid Sony enthusiasts should know that the Japanese tech giant likes to take its own sweet time in launching a major update to its smartphones and tablets. Even for the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update, Sony has yet to share its roadmap or any information on the OS.
Even so, that does not mean that Sony won’t be updating their devices to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. For further reassurance on this, a leak has surfaced and it shows a sneak peak at how the latest Android OS will play on an Xperia smartphone.
The leak snap shot reveals that the Lollipop will be keeping its stock design when running on the Xperia devices. This could either mean that Sony is dropping its UI or that it is minimizing the UI’s influence on the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Of course, the leak came out without any strong claims so it is best to take it with a pinch of salt. Sony Xperia users don’t have to be devastated by the long wait since they will be getting a problem free Android 5.0 Lollipop update when it is ready.
