Sony Xperia users are in for a treat. Instead of waiting for the Android 4.4.3 KitKat, Sony is skipping straight ahead to the Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Sony had just announced that the Xperia X, SP, T, TX, V, Sirius, Z and Z1 are all lined up for the update. The Xperia Sirius, in particular, will be getting a lot of attention as it will receive more new features from Sony.
For starters, the Sirius will get a whole new look. A leak image of the device’s home screen showed that the Sirius will have new icons and a slightly nicer layout. The most noticeable of them all is the battery icon and the status bar icon.
Also, the Sirius will be getting some improvement to its audio with the addition of Clear Audio and XLoud Engine. The best perk to the update is with the addition of My Xperia themes. With it, users can customize their device more.
These are the few of many features that Sony has confirmed to be coming with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. For the rest of the Xperia devices, they will be anticipating enhanced power management, background data queuing, tremendous power management and many more.
While it all sounds great, nobody actually knows when the update will happen. We can only confirm that the update will happen before summer ends.
