Sony Xperia Devices To Get Some Exclusive Android 4.4.4 KitKat Features

Owners of the Sony Xperia can look forward to KitKat 4.4.4 along with the Xperia X, SP, T, TX and V. Sony gave suggestions that the features may be the same that have been found on the Xperia Sirius along with the Z1. This means that we may see two new user interfaces, camera modes and battery managers.

The Sony Sirius interface was leaked and we saw a homescreen that was simple. You could see the changed to the icons, battery icon and status bar icons.

The Jelly Bean 4.3 arrived it gave us Smart Social apps along with a new UI and camera modes. Now it is looking as though the Sony Ultra X and the Sony Xperia X1 along with devices in the Z series, may be about to get some exclusive features from Sirius. Apps may include Background Defocus and Timeshift video.

The smart app came and offered a new look and with it came the Close All button, which was just a part of the Recent Apps along with Smart Backlight. Along with it came call support and double tap to wake.

The Sony Xperia Sirius also had new sound options and support for audio accessory along with high resolution audio. We also heard about Clear Audio with xLoud engine and S Force audio.

There are customisation choices for notifications on the status bar. This is going to be good as there wasn’t a great deal of customisation with MyXperia themes.

With KitKat came better power managements, background data queuing and location based Wi-Fi, plus support for low batteries.

The first handset to get the update to KitKat will be the Sony Xperia Z2, the Sony Xperia SP, T, TX and V should then get it it.
