Most smartphone manufacturers are actually skipping on the Android 4.4.3 KitKat and are pushing out the newer and final Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Sony is among these manufacturers but the Japanese company has more coming with the update.
The Sony Xperia X, SP, T, TX, and V will be getting the update and it will be packed with features from the Xperia Sirius and Z1. This includes two new UIS, battery managers and camera modes.
In detail, the Xperia Sirius has some new icons like its battery and those on the status bar. This is a confirmed deal after a screenshot of the home screen got leaked in the net. On another note, the Sony Ultra X and the Xperia X1 will be added with a Background Defocus and Timeshift video app.
Aside from that the Android 4.4.4 KitKat will come with new features like double tap to wake, Smart App and added call support. The Sirius in particular will get to enjoy better sound quality with the update.
The icing on the cake is with the My Xperia themes that are coming to these devices. With it, users are able to personalize their devices to their liking.
The Android 4.4.4 KitKat will be arriving to the Sony Xperia Z2 first before reaching out to the SP, T, TX and V.
