Back in November last year, the world witnessed the coming of both the Microsoft Xbox One and the Sony PS4. Many felt that the next-gen machines will take the console wars to a whole new level. Instead, it turns out that the PS4 simply outgunned the Xbox One in every segment.
News of PS4’s superiority over the Xbox One spreads like wildfire which affected the sales of the latter. With Microsoft experiencing some major loss with its latest console, a rumour has gone viral that Sony is in talks to purchase the Xbox brand.
The rumour ridiculed Jesse Dicnich entirely. The VP of Insight and Analysis for Electronic Entertainment Design and Research revealed that the Xbox brand is not for sale. Even If It is, Sony cannot afford the value of the Xbox brand.
It is unsure if the speculation made was meant to be a joke or something serious. It was Forbes contributor, Adam Hartung, who was responsible for the rumour to go viral. Looking at his Twitter account, Adam simply hates everything about Microsoft and the Xbox console.
