Skylake 2015 Retina MacBook Pro: Will It Happen?

Last week, Intel confirmed that it is the second ever company, behind Samsung, to have developed 14nm nanochips. Intel referred to the new processors as Skylake and it is the successor to the 20nm nanochips, Broadwell. However, production of the chips won’t commence at least until June this year.

Regardless, the news got the Apple fan boys on overdrive as there is a big chance for Skylake to debut on the next-generation Apple MacBook Pro. The upcoming laptopsis expected to step into production in early July and if all is well, it might feature Skylake.

If this happens, then the upcoming MacBook Pro will no doubt be a revolutionary device. Among the major improvements that Skylake can offer is faster processing speed and also better energy consumption ratings.

After all, Skylake is designed to be much smaller than Broadwell and the tinier structure will allow faster processing and lesser energy consumed.

Of course, Apple has yet to make any promises on this so there is no telling for sure if Skylake is going to be part of the next-gen MacBook Pro. We can expect more spills on this in the month of June.
