A set of codes have been leaked online and it is able to unlock many Samsung Galaxy devices including the Note 2, 3, S4 & S3. The codes will surely aid those who are using a carrier-locked device.
This will surely come in handy as an unlocked device means that users can switch SIM cards from other network providers with ease. Furthermore, it will increase the resale value of the device.
If you are using a carrier-locked Samsung smartphone and wish to unlock the device, then simply apply the following steps:
One: Insert a new SIM card into your Galaxy Note 2 or Galaxy S4.
Two: Turn off your device then turn it back on again.
Three: Head to the dialpad and enter in *#197328640#.
Four: Choose [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF.
Five: Wait for 30 seconds or so before heading back into the main menu by choosing “back”.
Six: In your main menu, you’ll see “Network Lock”, so now choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ
It is best for you to act fast as a simple update can deem the codes useless. Also, it is important to note that the codes only work on a handful of Samsung Galaxy devices only.
