It isn’t rocket science to figure out that Samsung will be releasing the S6 in Q2 next year. This is the obvious case if consumers look back at the previous Galaxy S3, S4 and S5. All three devices were launched within the March and April period.
If the same pattern is to be studied, Samsung normally unveils their annual flagship device at the MWC event. As such, it is also safe to assume that the S6 will be taking the stage at next-year’s MWC.
Unfortunately, there has yet to be any official details leaked on the Samsung Galaxy S6’s spec. Of course, consumers can look forward to learn more about the S6 hardwares when it gets unveiled. Meanwhile, consumers can refer to the many rumours and get a rough idea on what the S6 has got to offer.
For starters, the device is rumoured to feature a 5.2” screen that develops 2560x1440p resolution. The QHD display will be powered by a 64-bit processor that is either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or the 810. We have a gut feeling it is the latter as the 810 chipset is able to support 4K resolution.
As for the cameras, the word is that the S6 will be equipped with a 20MP rear camera. If this is true, then it will be the first time a 20MP camera is featured on a Samsung smartphone. Also, the rear camera will surely be able to record videos at 4K resolution.
