Samsung Galaxy S6 Specs Get Downgraded

Very soon from now, Samsung will be looking to launch the highly anticipated Galaxy S6. There is simply so much hype surrounding this upcoming smartphone as it is heavily linked to come with a new design language and tons of new features to offer.

On the other hand, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will look to downgrade on some features as well. While it may still be unofficial, a leak image of the S6’s chassis suggests that the smartphone will only support USB 2.0.

Those that have viewed the leaked image should carefully observe the charging port on the S6. There, they should be able to notice the sloped sides inside the port and this is a feature for USB 2.0.

If so, then this is worrying to say the least since USB 2.0 will make the S6 less sophisticated than the Samsung Galaxy S5, which on the other hand features USB 3.0. Then again, it won’t be surprising since the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 also opted for USB 2.0 instead of 3.0.

Of course, the older gen USB driver won’t allow quick file transfers but it won’t affect fast charging technology. Otherwise, the Note 4 will take forever to fully recharge. Even so, it is still a wonder on why Samsung decided on the older USB 2.0.
