One of the reasons why people did not want to get the edge version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 was because, at that time, there weren’t really many uses for the edge screen. It might look cool but looking good alone is not a good enough reason to own one especially since it cost more.
To make sure the same thing does not happen when the Samsung Galaxy S7 arrives, Samsung is now giving the edge screen a few more features. According to Samsung, the edge screen will be able to provide users with a lot of info faster than ever.
One of the upgrades will include the 500pixel upgrade. Instead of being confined by the 260pixel screen on the side, Samsung is now upgrading the screen so that the screen can expand to 550pixel, allowing users to get more information from the curved edge.
Users will also be allowed to customize their contact and apps so that they can locate them quicker using the edge screen.
The upgrades will be arriving with the new Android Marshmallow upgrade.
