Both the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 are two of the best smartphones to have arrived this year. Like previous iPhones and Galaxy S, we have decided to compare the two most popular devices around.
In terms of performance, the iPhone has never come out with something greater than the Galaxy series. The latest Galaxy S5 arrived with some high-end hardware, which sealed the fact that it is faster than the iPhone 6. On the other hand, the latter has better system to hardware integration which blessed it with unrivalled smoothness.
Display-wise, the S5 arrived with a 5.1” Super AMOLED display that runs at 1080p resolution. Again, this is sharper than the iPhone 6’s display which runs at 1334x750p resolution. Despite having a larger screen size, the S5 is able to last so much longer than the iPhone 6. This is owed to its 2800mAh battery that simply outlasts the 1810mAh battery on the iPhone 6.
The S5 is also a convenient device to own as it comes with microSD support. This means that consumers can store 4K video recordings captured from the S5’s impressive 16MP rear camera without any complains. The iPhone 6 has is offered with a choice of 16GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, together with an 8MP rear camera with no external storage support.
The S5 comes with a single price of $199 with a two-year contract with a carrier. This is similar to the 16GB iPhone 6. The 128GB model, on the other hand, cost $399 with contract. This confirms that the S5 is still cheaper, even when taken with an external microSD card that is 128GB in size. Surely, this seals the victory for the Samsung Galaxy S5.
