A couple of months ago, Apple launched the highly anticipated iPhone 6. Like all the previous iPhone launchings, the iPhone 6 became a global phenomenon. It is also natural to compare Apple’s smartphones with those from Samsung. With that being said, let’s see if the iPhone 6 is better than the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Performance-wise, the Apple iPhone 6 might be equipped with a brand new processor developed by Apple. However, the hardwares on the device are still far away from matching the speed of the Samsung Galaxy S5. On the other hand, the latter isn’t able to match the perfect hardware-software integration that is only found on the iPhones.
In terms of display, the S5 is equipped with a 5.1” Super AMOLED display that runs at 1080p resolution. Obviously, this is sharper than the 1334x750p resolution found on the iPhone 6. Even with a larger display, the S5 is still able to outlast the iPhone 6, thanks to the larger 2800mAh battery capacity. The smartphone from Apple only have a 1810mAh battery to brag about.
From the camera point-of-view, the S5 offers more pixel count from its 16MP rear shooter. The iPhone 6, on the other hand, is equipped with an 8MP rear camera. However, the advantage is with the S5 as it has microSD support that can expand storage space to 128GB. The iPhone 6 is offered with either 16GB, 32GB or 128GB of storage space that determines the device value.
Price-wise, the S5 retails at $199 with a two-year contract from a carrier. This is similar to the 16GB iPhone 6. For the 128GB model, the price climbs to $399 with a contract plan. Both smartphones are great regardless of this comparison but we have to side with the S5 this time round. After all, it has more advantageous at lesser the cost.
