Samsung Galaxy S5 Review Roundup: Top Gurus Speak Up

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is out and it is the best smartphone to date. However, it is important to note that the S5 is nothing more but an upgrade from the Samsung Galaxy S4. While most reviews are full of praises for the S5, we have decided to take a stern approach as we do a review on it.

Specs-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered by the Snapdragon 801 processor. There is no denying that this is the fastest mobile processor around and is something worth praising the S5 for.

Then there is the camera. Samsung inserted a whopping 16MP shooter on the Galaxy S5. Thanks to the larger pixel count, users will get to snap a more detailed image. Focus speed and colour contrast are satisfying but it can’t match the low-light ability of the HTC One M8.

Finally are the innovative features, the biometric fingerprint scanner and heart-rate monitor. As interesting as both features are, none of them are built with quality. For starters, users need to use 2 hands to operate the finger scanner. On the other hand, there is the heart rate scanner which is not accurate at all.

With that in mind, there is no denying that the S5 is nothing more than an upgrade. Everything new about it is still half-baked but was added in to reel the consumer’s curiosity. However, it is still a good phone to get.
