Recently it was pointed out that Samsung have been offering discounts on handset that have been aggressive and a chart to accompany this was shown off.
However people have been asking where they can get the Samsung Galaxy S5 with a discount by as much as 30%. Someone from India then pointed out that when the Samsung Galaxy S5 came out it was on for US$830, but now you get the phone in India for US$600, which of course means savings of US$230.
Meanwhile over in Mexico Samsung apparently don’t offer discounts on phones, so those who live in Mexico have to pay full price whether they get the device on contract or not.
So it does seem that Samsung discounted phones do depend on where you live. There are huge discounts for some, like over in India, while in Mexico, there are no discounts.
