Plenty of leaks and speculations on Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S5 have revealed that the smartphone will come in two variants. However, little is touched on how the Galaxy S5 may look like. Some believes it to have a curvy screen while others simply don’t have a clue about it.
For a start, the Galaxy S5 will be equipped with a larger display compared to the S4. The screen will measure about 5.25inch. This will probably make the Galaxy S5 the biggest smartphone in the Galaxy S series.
The phablet category is currently owned by the Galaxy Note series and Samsung wouldn’t want the S5 to step out of its territories. As such, it is important for Samsung to give it a design which won’t look bulky or different from its line of models.
As such, many analysts felt that the Galaxy S5 will look similar to its predecessor, the S4. Of course, the length and dimensions will be all different since the device will be bigger.
Aside from that, a fingerprint scanner is expected to feature on the upcoming phone. Instead of being on the button or at the back of the device, word has it that it will be an on-screen fingerprint scanner. The sensors will be placed at both the bottom left and right side of the screen.
Finally are the reports that claim the S5 to have a bezel-free display. It is true that with every Galaxy S phone released, the bezel grows tinier and tinier. With that in mind, there is a strong chance for the S5 to be the first smartphone without bezel.
The Galaxy S5 will play a crucial role in this year’s market as it will set the benchmark for all the other high-end phones to follow or keep up with the technological advancements. Samsung is expected to unveil its device during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.
