When it comes to smartphone comparison, it is common to see Samsung going head to head with Apple. This is the same case today with the Galaxy S4 squaring off with iPhone 5. Both 2013 flagship phones for their respective company are great in many ways but which is better?
In terms of cost, the iPhone 5 is going through a huge price cut. Previously, getting the device at Verizon, Sprint or AT&T previously cost $128. Now, an entry level can be purchased at just $98. Surprisingly, the Galaxy S4 is more expensive than the iPhone 5, having a price tag of $168 at Verizon. All of these prices are with a two-year contract with the telco.
Nevertheless, both the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 are much cheaper than how they were when they first appeared.
Where specifications are concerned, it is tough to identify the better of the two. For a smooth experience, the iPhone 5 is definitely the phone to go with. If all you want is the ability to personalize your device, than the Galaxy S4 is meant for you. This is the key ingredient for both the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4. There is no rivalling the smoothness of the iOS. On the other hand, an Android OS means users can tweak their device to how they want it to be.
It is simply down to the user’s preferences. The cost difference between the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S4 is not that big of a deal. A HIS senior analyst revealed that there isn’t any major upgrades for the S4 from its predecessor in terms of processor. This is the exact same case with the iPhone 5.
It is all up to the consumers. The only other option left is to simply hang on tight and wait for the next successor for these devices to arrive.
