One particular device in the state of doubt is the Samsung Galaxy S4. The device is only one-year old and deserves to get the KitKat. However, there has yet to be an announcement on this matter by Samsung.
At the moment, the Galaxy Note 3 is being updated to the latest OS. Word has it that the update on the Note 3 will be totally different to that on the S4. French telco, SFR, hinted that the KitKat will be rolled out somewhere in January or February. This contradicts to the Samsung website that stated February and March. On top of that, Samsung stated that the KitKat is in testing.
The Android KitKat OS for Samsung devices commence its mass update roadmap in Poland. It seems that the Korean company is looking to take its own sweet time with the KitKat update. Samsung Galaxy S4 users should not look forward to any announcement from the phone manufacturer as they won’t be making one. Instead, keep a lookout on when the OTA will arrive.
