Samsung Galaxy S4 Just Keeps On Truckin’

The Samsung Galaxy S4 had just been crowned as the smartphone with the best battery life. It might not have a 64 bit processor, fingerprint scanner nor aluminum unibody but it is a winner in terms of battery life.

The tests was divided into two categories, talk time and web use. The Samsung Galaxy S4 won big in both categories. In talk time, the Samsung Galaxy S4 recorded 1, 051 minutes which is 280 minutes more than the smartphone that got the second place, HTC One. The HTC One lasted 771 minutes on talk time while Apple’s latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5S could only get into fourth place with its 651 minutes record while the iPhone 5C only managed to pull 564 minutes.

On the web use category, which was conducted using Wi-Fi connection, the Samsung Galaxy S4 excelled with 405 minutes, just a few minutes more than the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini’s achievement which was 394 minutes. Surprisingly, the HTC One mini exceed the HTC One’s time. The HTC One mini lasted 385 minutes on web surfing via Wi-Fi while the HTC One lasted 339 minutes. Apple’s iPhone 5S didn’t perform well on this category. The iPhone 5S could only last 298 minutes.

Jon Barrow, one of the researcher who conducted the tests said : “Our tests prove that while the batteries in the new iPhones last longer than those in the old iPhone 5, they still can’t match the capacity of those in the best Android phones.”
