The code will have to be keyed into the phone and it will unlock the device. Doing so will enable any other SIM card to be used on the Samsung device. On top of that, it even works with the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 and Note 3 smartphones.
To unlock your device, follow the instruction below.
1. Open up the dialler app and enter *#197328640#
2. Go to your main menu > [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF
3. Wait 30 seconds to a minute
4. Go back to your main menu and choosing “back”
5. A “Network Lock” message will appear
6. Choose [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ
Doing it right will bring out a message which reads: “Asterisk Pound One Nine Seven Three Two Eight Six Four Zero Pound”.
Now, your Samsung device is unlocked. Congratulations as you have broken the chains attached to your device.
