In the US, the failure for Samsung Galaxy S4 to reach its sales target was due to the consumer’s reluctance to upgrade. This is since the Galaxy S3, which is still a great device and users wish to see through their 2 years contract before planning to upgrade their device.
It is 2 years now since the S3 got released and the users are well prepared to do an upgrade. With the S5 right around the corner, it is all positive for this upcoming device.
On top of that, the Galaxy S5 is considered to be the upgraded version of the Galaxy S4. It is also equipped with a couple of brand new functions like the heartbeat sensor and the improved fingerprint scanner. The icing on the cake will be with the waterproof feature.
All in all, the Galaxy S5 has all the capabilities to wow the fans. That should be a pulling factor to the Galaxy S3 users. At the moment, Apple is dominating the smartphone market in the US and Samsung will be looking to challenge that.
