In a leak internal document which is perceived to be legitimate, the Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300) international version is omitted from the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Only the Galaxy S3 LTE will get to enjoy the KitKat.
Analyst claims that this is due to some unresolved problem which is believed to be the 1GB RAM on the device. It is quite contradicting as Google revealed that the KitKat is able to support devices with low memories. On the other hand, it is Google that warned Samsung against updating devices that are more than 18 months old.
Based on the leak, the only devices that are getting the update includes the Galaxy Note 2, Note 2 LTE, S3 LTE, S4 Mini, S4 Mini LTE, Note 3 Neo, Grand 2, Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3. All of these devices will be running on the KitKat before the end of June.
