Within weeks from now, Samsung will be launching the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its latest Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 smartphone, before reaching out to its mid-range and older devices.
While no specific time frame was given, the assumption was made through judging from the looks of things. For starters, Samsung is already offering the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the aforementioned devices but it is nothing but a test build of the latest OS. The biggest clue of them all is with Samsung Poland that has seeded the S5 for the OTA update.
In other words, it won’t be long until the S5 gets the Android 5.0 Lollipop. Perhaps, Samsung is preparing the countries to perform the OTA update simultaneously on a single day. Word has it that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will arrive on the S5 somewhere in December before reaching out to the Note 4 over in January.
This is quite surprising as Samsung are usually late with their updates. If previous update patterns are to be referred to, then it is best to hope for the best and prepare for the worse. There is a chance that the update could end up delayed like how it was for the previous years.
