Following Rockstar’s announcement on a brand new IP currently in production, many gamers believed it to be Red Dead Redemption 2, Bully 2 or even, GTA 6. Well, it appears none of the three will be coming anytime soon.
The brand new IP Rockstar was referring to is known as Agent. It looks to be the next game to come from the developer after Take Two was spotted to have extended the trademark for Agent. This isn’t anything unheard of as Sony one mentioned the game during its press conference on 2009’s E3.
Back then, Sony revealed Agent to be a PS3-exclusive title. The spy/thriller game has been a muted subject ever since. After 5 long years, perhaps, Agent is ready to make an impact in the gaming industry.
Another hint came from Rockstar’s Italian website, which confirmed that Agent is coming soon. Even the CEO of Take Two, Strauss Zelnick, teases the fans by claiming that an extraordinary pipeline of titles is in development for the Xbox One and PS4. This includes new IPs and sequels to existing franchise.
This makes the coming of Agent more and more likely. With the arrival of the next-gen consoles, there is a chance for Agent to be a cross platform title instead of being an exclusive.
