Capcom has already teased that Resident Evil 7 will balance out the horror genre with the action genre as the game looks to be set in the locations of the first trilogy. This is further backed up by the screenshot leaked, which shows the familiar sights of Racoon City.
On the other hand Capcom has yet to shed any light on the plot coming in Resident Evil 7 but if fans of the franchise are to refer to Resident Evil 6, they will see a lot of possibilities.
For starters, Neo-Umbrella will be making its return. The organization that is paired to ‘The Family’ became the huge buzz in Resident Evil 6 and this is expected to drag into Resident Evil 7.
Even towards Resident Evil 6’s ending, Neo-Umbrella was depicted to be leaderless. There is simply too many unanswered questions back in the last title that are expected to be resolved in the future sequel. While there is no hint on who could be running Neo-Umbrella, there is a chance for it to be Alex Wesker.
If this is to come true, then Resident Evil 7 will see Alex Wesker’s Neo-Umbrella being aided by The Family and Tricell. Of course, it is still too early to say on this and we can’t wait for more reveals by Capcom on the matter.
