It is no secret that a vast majority of Resident Evil fans prefer to the series’ first trilogy over the second trilogy. This is because the former boasts a horrifying, thrilling, puzzle-infested gameplay whereas the latter is more of a fast-pace third person shooter.
The disappointment for the second trilogy was so bad that the fans are not excited for the upcoming sequel, Resident Evil 7. Well, fans need to start burying the hatchet as Resident Evil 7 is going to be based on the traditional horror genre.
This was confirmed unofficially after a leak screenshot of the upcoming title surfaced online and it revealed that Resident Evil 7 will be a remake of the entire first trilogy. The screenshot also shared that the game will be known as Resident Evil Zero.
While no further details were highlighted by the leak, there is no doubt that Resident Evil Zero will be making its debut on both the Xbox One and PS4. As such, fans can start anticipating a thoroughly engaging and horrifying experience in Resident Evil Zero.
