Capcom has already confirmed that they are developing the next Resident Evil title that is tentatively known to the masses as Resident Evil 7.
According to a leak screenshot of the future sequel, it seems that Resident Evil 7 will be taking place in Racoon City. This can only mean well for the Resident Evil fans since returning to Racoon City could also see the return of the horror genre.
After all, Racoon City was the location for the first Resident Evil trilogy and back then, everything revolves around nightmarish scenes and jump scares. This was replaced by fast-paced, third-person shooter back in Resident Evil 4.
Ever since then, fans have been begging Capcom to return the horror gameplay but that has failed to happen. If the leaked screenshot is spot on, then it looks like Capcom are opening up to the fans’ request for Resident Evil 7.
