Capcom has already confirmed that Resident Evil 7 is currently in development but most of the fans are not excited for it. Instead, they are worried that Resident Evil 7 will still be a fast-paced, third-person shooter game like how it was with the last Resident Evil trilogy.
Well, this doesn’t look like happening if fans are to check out on the latest leak involving Resident Evil 7. The leak basically shows a screenshot of Resident Evil 7 and it confirmed that the future title will be a remake of the series’ first trilogy.
This is evident as the screenshot displays Resident Evil 7 with Racoon City at its background. Racoon City was the location of Resident Evil 1 to Resident Evil 3 and if Resident Evil 7 does end up as a remake of the first trilogy, there is chance for it to be horrifying and terrifying.
This is something that the fans have been demanding from Capcom as they have been wishing for the series to revert back to the horror genre like how it was back in the first trilogy. Let’s just hope that the leak is spot on and horror does make a return in Resident Evil 7.
