Resident Evil has started to fall down the charts very fast. The games once had a lot of stature to them and now they have become more of a joke in the gaming industry. It was many years when Resident Evil made its debut and then players loved the game as it came with a horror factor.
Success of the game lasted until it got to Resident Evil 4, this was a time when the franchise happened to have one of the biggest fan bases. Since Resident Evil 2 arrived the series has been in turmoil.
Fans have said that Resident Evil has lost some of the horror genre it had, which made it so popular. Now it is more of a fast paced action game. While this may appeal to some newer gamers who haven’t played the rest of the series, existing fans haven’t been too happy with it.
With Resident Evil 6 gamers have become tired and they want Resident Evil to go back to the old ways. Whether or not Capcom have taken any notice of what fans want is anyone’s guess, but we will find out when Resident Evil 7 comes out.
Fans at Reddit have said that the franchise will die if it continues as it is. Recently a user of Reddit created a Resident Evil 7 logo and this did give the game the horror look that was missing.
The logo was blood red in colour with a dark title and it does bring back all the negative energy that used to set the mood.
Capcom are not likely to take any notice of the Resident Evil 7 logo, but one thing is for sure if Resident Evil 7 doesn’t go back to the horror/survival genre it will be doomed. If you want to check out the logo you can find it here.
