When Capcom released Resident Evil 6 they felt let down as fans don’t want the adventure/action game that the franchise has become. More action and adventure was brought into the game since RE4 and the game lost its horror and thrill aspect. Capcom are at the moment developing Resident Evil 7 and the developer should take what fans of the series want into account.
Capcom needs to bring back the horror element into the game. They want suspenseful music that will create a scene of urgency and they want to feel pressure and stress. They would also like to see enemies being able to break down any door, other than the safe room; they also want a return of the safe room.
Gamers have also made it known that they want the merchant back in the game.
Fans of the series don’t want a partner in the game as this spoils the ambience. The only reason where a partner would be ok is if that partner needed protecting. Capcom should listen to fans want if they want Resident Evil 7 to be a success.
