Resident Evil 7 is currently being produced by Capcom and the game looks set to get unveiled at E3. The word is that Resident Evil 7 will be built as a horror title instead of being a third-person action shooter like how it is with the last Resident Evil trilogy.
Now, more evidences have surfaced to support this claim. The first came from Capcom which revealed that Resident Evil 7 is going to be a horrifying title. The second is a leaked screenshot of Resident Evil 7 which suggests the game to be set in Racoon City.
The thing is that Racoon City is the location setting for the first Resident Evil trilogy and back then, everything revolves around horror. Hence, this strongly hints on Resident Evil 7 to return to the series traditional horror roots.
Of course, we can’t be fully certain just yet. A confirmation on this is bound to come once Resident Evil 7 gets unveiled at E3 tomorrow.
