It is really frustrating to be a Resident Evil purist after seeing the franchise dropping the horror genre for the fast-paced action gameplay since Resident Evil 4.
Well, before fans start giving up on the franchise, they should check out the leak screenshot of Resident Evil 7, which is in production right now.
Upon viewing the leak, fans will notice a familiar sight and this is because Resident Evil 7 is situated in Racoon City. The latter is the location for the first Resident Evil trilogy where horror rules everything.
As such, this heavily hints on Resident Evil 7 returning to its horrifying ways where jump scares are the norm.
Of course, we cannot be sure about this yet since Capcom has yet to reveal anything on Resident Evil 7. The game developer is expected to shed more light on the matter in the coming months.
