This is Capcom we are talking about and they are the best when it comes to messing things up. Looking at what they have done to the last few Resident Evil games, we will not be a surprise if they end up running the Resident Evil 2 Remake as well.
According to Capcom, the remake of the game will be build from ground up which suggest that there might be more changes being made to the game than what we have expected. While we are looking for to see the improvement they make graphically, we are also worried that they would change it to a point where the game ends up not being scary anymore.
One of the reasons why this installment is so loved by many is because the game manage to keep us engage throughout the game. The atmosphere is intense and the horror element is always there. In the last few games, there was no fear for the zombies at all.
We think that the game will be a success as long as they do not mess around too much with the horror element of the game.
