The Resident Evil 2 game is often considered as one of the best Resident Evil game of the franchise which is probably why it was chosen for a Remake but instead of an actual remake, what the fans will be getting will be more like a new game.
Or at least, that is what Capcom wants us to feel when the Resident Evil 2 Remake game is release. According to the Senior Market Director of Capcom UK, the Resident Evil 2 Remake will be built from scratch. The story will remain similar but the game will be different from what the original game was.
With the game having such a huge following, we are not sure if that is really a good thing. We think it would work if the developers manage to retain the horror elements of the game, something they have been failing to do in the last few resident evil game.
