Pokemon games have gone a long way since it first debut in the 90s and many legendary creatures have been introduced in the game. Among all of them, it seems that Zygarde is the weakest of them all.
In Pokemon X & Y, Zygarde played a small role in the game’s storyline. Things are about to change for this Pokemon in the upcoming Pokemon Z. Despite still being a rumour, Pokemon Z is expected to come and it will make Zygarde more important than ever.
There are many mysteries with Zygarde and with Pokemon Z looking to lift its status; Nintendo may throw in a mega-evolution for this legendary creature.
In X & Y, both Yveltal and Xernias are immune to Zygarde’s main types. If there is to be a mega Zygarde, the immunities will turn into weaknesses instead. Also, being a mega will bless Zygarde with 100 points to its base stats. This will put it in the same strength with Mega Tyranitar and Mega Garchomp.
In the upcoming storyline, fans have been suggesting that the Pokemon ecosystem will be collapsing and Zygarde is the only Pokemon that can fix it. The creature, together with Yveltal and Xernias, will attempt to restore the balance of the Pokemon world. After all, Xernias is like a tree, Yveltal a cocoon and Zygarde the larvae.
These are great ideas for a wonderful Pokemon Z. Of course, nothing official has been announced by Nintendo at the moment. Such a thing could come in a DLC or even Pokemon Z itself.
