Pokebank: It’s Legality Checker, Not Hack Checker

A about a month long delay, the Pokebank is finally re-released to the world, except for the North American region. This highly anticipated application service had been causing a ruckus ever since its failed release late last year. Now, the Pokebank is crash free and players can finally find some peace.

The US Pokemon community doesn’t have to sulk for not receiving the Pokebank first. After all, there appears to be many reports claiming that hacked Pokemon are all in the Pokemon X & Y. The fans are unhappy with the insecure Pokebank and demanded Nintendo for a valid explanation.

The long delay for the Pokebank re-release has led the fans to believe that a hack checker was in place. However, that is not true at all. The only thing fixed on the Pokebank is a legality checker. Unlike a hack checker, this service filter out Pokemon which has impossible move sets abilities, caught level and location. More importantly, impossible shininess will automatically be taken out by the Bank.

Nintendo might be guilty of many things over the past month but is important for players to refrain themselves from jumping on the wagon whenever they are unhappy about something. On the other hand, Nintendo should hasten an update for the Pokebank to give it a hack checker instead.
