Pepsi Android Phone Released, Will Coke Follow?

Yeap, you’ve read that right. Pepsi has officially released an Android Phone, designed specifically for the China market. This neat design features a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) 2.5D-curved glass display, powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor and also runs on dido OS-based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

Pepsi kept the design fairly simple. The P1s has an aluminum unibody design and what’s more, it even has a fingerprint sensor on the back. Not forgetting, a 13-megapixel rear camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Apple, you better watch carefully.

The highlight of it all should be the dual SIM support that allows for a second nano SIM slot as a microSD slot whenever required. It’s claimed that the standard version of the phone is called P1 while the China Unicom version is the P1s.

With three colours to choose from (Blue, Gold and Silver), and the price available for the phone will only get higher once the first batch of orders are sold out. Currently, you can get them at 699 yuan per piece for 1000 orders, and until they’re sold out, another 1000 units will be up for grabs at 999 yuan. You get the drill. It’s only a matter of time when Coke decides to join in the bandwagon. So, what are you waiting for?
