Blizzard made it clear that they are not going to go easy on cheaters in Overwatch and it looks like quitters will not be getting off that easily either.
For those that have signed to become a tester for Overwatch, one of the first things that you will be able to test is the upcoming Competitive Mode. It has been revealed that players will be given a warning notice if they quit the game before it is over.
In the warning, it states that:
Repeatedly leaving games will result in a 75% penalty to XP earned. Additionally, you can be suspended from Competitive Play for increasing periods of time, up to receiving a ban for the entire season.
Some players are saying that Blizzard is being too harsh but then again, it can be very frustration when one of your teammates quits on you and this is even more frustrating when you are in the competitive mode.
We do not know if the penalty will make it to the actual game or not so we will have to wait and see.
