The Samsung Galaxy S5 is finally out and this means that the manufacturer can start updating its older devices to the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The oldest of those devices is the Samsung Galaxy S3.
This flagship smartphone from 2012 has been the subject of many debates on whether it will receive the KitKat OS. Well, there is now certainty that the S3 is included in Samsung’s roadmap. This will be happening after the Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy note 2 and Galaxy Mega gets updated.
It is not only the smartphones that will get a bite of the KitKat. The tablets too will be updated accordingly. Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be getting this latest OS.
The KitKat will be rolled out from today throughout the month of June. It will be arriving in phases from the latest Samsung devices to the oldest.
