Nissan is certainly excited for the next Tokyo Auto Salon as they prepare to unveil a variety of concepts at the event. Among them is the Rogue which will be receiving the Nismo treatment.
Nissan teased about the Tokyo-bound Rogue Nismo earlier today and it suggests the SUV to come with aero and rolling stock with red trim on white bodywork. This gives the Rogue and entirely sporty profile, just like the Juke Nismo that is pictured above.
It is also teased that the Rogue Nismo will get a performance upgrade which consists of the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that is paired to a CVT gearbox. Such a setup allows the Rogue Nismo to pump out about 170hp.
For us, this is not impressive at all. Why make a car look super sporty when the performance is not up for it. The fact that Nissan decided on the CVT transmission tells it all and we are disappointed by it. What do you think?
