Hybrid models do not seem to be working for Nissan, we know that they have already canceled the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid as well as the Nissan Altima Hybrid which is probably why they decided to take things slow this time around.
Instead of jumping right into it, Nissan will start by offering a limited amount of Nissan Murano Hybrid and move on from there. According to Car and Driver, the Nissan Murano will be offering about 28mpg on average with its all-wheel drive system. The standard Nissan Murano is returning about 24mpg on average right now.
Nissan only plans to sell about 600units of these hybrid powered Nissan Murano here in the US which means they too do not have high hopes for the Nissan Murano Hybrid. Will the Nissan Murano Hybrid joining the Pathfinder and the Altima or will they be able to break the curse this time around?
