The Nissan Leaf is fighting a lonely battle for Nissan but it looks like it might not be that way for long as Nissan hinted that there might be more electric powered models in the future.
Shiro Nakamura, the Senior Vice President of Nissan announce that they are currently working on a new modular platform that will allow them to come out with a few more electric powered models.
It is believed that with the new modular platform, Nissan will be able to start working on electric powered sports and crossover models. We know that Nissan is interesting in coming out with a powerful sport electric powered model ever since they showed off the Esflow concept a few years ago.
Of course, do not expect to see these new electric powered models anytime soon as Nissan is still working on the Modular platform. Nakamura also added that we might have to wait for 5 years or more before we get to see the new modular platform in action.
