The Nissan Leaf was one of the best-selling EV here in the US but that all change when Chevrolet brought in the new Volt. While they continue to slide backward here in the US, the Nissan Leaf still remains as one of the top selling EV in Europe but that might not last as well.
It has been reported that although their sales have been increasing in Europe, their top rival, the Renault Zoe sales have drastically improve which means that they are closing the gap between the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe.
Nissan manages to sell a total of 9500 units of the Leaf in Europe this May while Renault manages to sell a total of 9400 units the same month. The numbers for June are not in yet, but we won’t be surprised if Renault did manage to catch up or overtake the Nissan Leaf kicking Nissan to the second spot.
