It is no secret that the Wii U console from Nintendo was a flop which is why we won’t be surprised if Nintendo actually stops selling the Wii U when the Nintendo NX arrives.
There is now a new rumor suggesting that retailer in Europe will not be able to order any more Wii U after the 1st of October. We don’t think anybody in Europe will be sad that they will no longer be able to get the Wii U console but this does suggest that Nintendo is looking to put the Wii U behind them and focus on the Nintendo NX console in the future.
There were a few fans that think that we might see a Nintendo Wii U slim version in the future but it does not look like that is going to happen.
Of course, this is just a rumor for now as Nintendo have not denied or confirm the rumor so it is best to take it with a pinch of salt.
