This isn’t something really new from Chevrolet. Back in April this year, the American carmaker offered something similar for the GMC Canyon due to its complex layout which made it difficult for the customers.
The Colorado online configurator, on the other hand, is as simple ABC. The system ensures that the pickup truck is tailored to the customer’s needs. If towing is the priority, customers can easily opt for the 3.6-liter V-6, locking rear differential, and Z82 trailering package. If ultimate efficiency is the main goal, then customers can opt for the extended cab Colorado that is powered by the 2.5-liter four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission.
Of course, pricing differs on selection. The basic, entry-level model can be obtained for just $20,995. If customers choose the best of everything, they will find the capped retail price of $40,000. Nevertheless, the fact that the Chevrolet Colorado is fully customizable makes it more appealing than its competitors.
