The Android 4.4.2 KitKat is finally out and available for the HTC One smartphone and it arrived with plenty of changes in store for the smartphone.
The update will give the HTC One improved features like Sense 5.5, cloud printing, security beefing, new Bluetooth profiles, flash support removal, UI changes and BlinkFeed. As for other features, it will depend on the carrier users are subscribed to.
On the disappointing side of things, the KitKat update failed to remove the purple tint issue on the HTC One’s camera. However, this is an issue that still affects a handful of users. Many who experienced it before are no longer seeing the problem. As such, it is highly advisable to refer to HTC Support Centre as it might just be a hardware issue.
The KitKat was rolled out in phases with US as its starting point. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile have all released the update for the HTC One. If you have yet to get a bite of the KitKat, then you might want to check the Software Update option in your HTC One’s settings.
