New Google Nexus 6 Intel Points To August Release Date

The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S5 means that the smartphone market is already hotting up this year and we have now heard that Google are working to launch the Google Nexus 6 this year.

The projection was based on the idea that Google will want to compete with the closest rivals Samsung and Apple.

It has been said that Apple could be launching a phablet by way of the iPhone 6 in September and this would be in-line with their previous calendar.

So with this in mind it would be prudent of Google to launch the Nexus 6 around the middle part of Q3 this year, but they should give people a peek at it before they launch it.

They could do this in May or June, but this would be dependent on when Google are planning this year’s I/O Developers Conference. Once they have the introduction of the Nexus 6 settled they can then focus on the features they are going to put into the phone to make it a competitor for the Apple iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S5.

The LG Pro 2 could be the base for the Nexus 6 and if so the Nexus 6 could have a display that would be almost 6 inches. If this is the case it would need a graphic engine that is able to run a 2k resolution.

2k is becoming the standard for the year and Google has to offer something superb if they are to compete against the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Apple iPhone 6.

Apple brought the 64 bit computing into play with the Apple iPhone 5S last year, something which Google will have to take into consideration.

Google will therefore have to launch something powerful and at the moment it isn’t known if the Snapdragon CPU is going to be out in time for the Nexus 6. However Google may be able to use the 64 bit chip from Samsung to power the handset.

The Nexus 6 could therefore have the Exynos octa-core technology, Google and Android do happen to be Android friends and so this isn’t all that impossible to imagine.

Apple put the Touch ID on the home button of the iPhone 5S and Samsung have also included fingerprint technology into the Samsung Galaxy S5.

This means that we could see something very similar on the Google Nexus 6 when it arrives. Perhaps Google will take things a step further and offer a fingerprint scanner along with iris reader.

While the Nexus 6 should come packed with features, it is thought that the handset will keep the low price tag that the Nexus brand has become known for. This of course is just one more great reason why the vanilla device has proven to be irresistible.
