Ever since NBA 2k14 came out there has been controversy. It was unplayable when it first arrived on the next gen consoles. Issues were found with MyCareer and MyGM freezing and those choosing to play on the PS3 and Xbox 360 were left out in the cold. This was due to the fact that 2k was focusing elsewhere.
However since the release of the patch things did get better. 2k then started to release locker codes, giving gamers free VC points, to make up to them. This was after it was said that some gamers lost points as they disappeared.
Most of the codes lasted for 3 to 4 days and then expired. But some codes were released that lasted 200 days. Gamers had to redeem these codes by going to the main menu and Locker Codes and typing in the code. They then received 2,000 points.
