The Motorola Droid Mini, Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx were all listed as Motorola smartphones that will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update but users have been waiting for ages for the update to arrive and as if the long wait was not bad enough, Motorola has now announce that they will not be rolling out the update to these smartphones.
Since the smartphones are pretty old, we were not expecting it to receive the update in the first place but Motorola had their day when they announce that it will be getting the update only to crush it now.
Motorola did apologize but a simple apology will not make up for it which is probably why they have decided to offer an incentive to customers that might want to upgrade to a newer device.
Motorola Droid Mini, Maxx, and Ultra users can now buy the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Motorola Droid Maxx 2 for $524 and $334 respectively. Which is about $100 or so cheaper than the original retail price.
